ServLark is a tool for writing and publishing customer quotes at private links. This page describes what the software collects and what it does with it. It describes the product as it works today, not as it might work later.
Who operates ServLark
ServLark is operated by JM Runs LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company. ServLark is the name of the product; JM Runs LLC is the company behind it and is the party responsible for the data described here. A Pennsylvania fictitious-name registration for the ServLark name was submitted on 3 September 2026 and is still pending, so until it is granted the operating company is named here in full.
What you give us
- Your account. An email address, a password, and the display name you choose at signup.
- Your business. The name, legal name, contact details, address, and settings you enter during onboarding, and your default quote terms.
- Your work. Services, customers, quotes, line items, and anything you write for your own reference. This includes contact details for your customers, which you enter and control, and private notes that only your workspace can see.
What the software records on its own
- Whether a published quote has been opened, and whether the customer accepted or declined it. That is the point of sharing the private link, and it is visible only inside your workspace.
- A count of smart drafts used in the current month, so the plan allowance can be enforced.
- Follow-up reminders about your own quotes, which appear only inside your workspace.
- Ordinary server logs kept by our hosting providers, which include IP addresses. We do not build profiles from them.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data or your customers’ data.
- We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts.
- We do not email your customers on your behalf. Quotes reach customers through a link you share, and reminders are nudges for you rather than messages to them.
- We do not store uploaded files. There is no way to attach a file to a quote today, so there is nothing of yours in file storage.
Who processes data for us
Running ServLark requires a small number of service providers. Each one handles only what it needs to:
- Supabase — the database and the authentication service that holds your password. Your password is never stored by ServLark itself.
- Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
- Stripe — subscription billing. If you subscribe, Stripe receives your business name, your account email, and an identifier for your workspace.
- OpenAI — smart drafting. See the section below for exactly what is sent.
- Resend — delivery of account email sent by the authentication service, such as address confirmation and password resets. It sees the address the message is going to and what the message says; it is not used to email your customers.
- Zoho — the mailbox behind support@servlark.com. If you write to support, your message and your address are held there. Zoho is not involved in account email.
Smart drafting and OpenAI
Smart drafting uses an AI model, run by OpenAI on our behalf. It only happens when you ask for a draft.
When you ask for a draft, ServLark sends OpenAI your business name, description and currency; your list of active services with their prices; and what you wrote about the job, including the private notes on that quote, because that is often where the real constraints are.
It does not send your customer’s name, email, phone or address; the private notes attached to your services; your business contact details or address; or anything from another quote, customer or workspace. If smart drafting is not enabled, nothing is sent at all.
OpenAI states that data sent through its API is not used to train its models unless you opt in, and that abuse-monitoring logs containing prompts and responses are retained for up to 30 days. OpenAI offers a zero-retention arrangement to approved customers; ServLark has not applied for one, so the 30-day default applies. We describe OpenAI’s terms here for your information; they are OpenAI’s to change, and their current policy is the authority.
Payment processing
Card details are entered on a page hosted by Stripe and are never sent to ServLark. ServLark holds no card number, expiry date or security code, and there is nowhere in the product that could accept one. What ServLark stores is a Stripe customer reference, a subscription reference, your plan, its status, and the current billing period.
Paid plans are not available yet. Billing is configured but not switched on for real payments, so no one has been charged.
Cookies and sessions
ServLark sets cookies for one purpose: keeping you signed in. They are issued by the authentication service and are needed for the product to work at all. There are no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no third-party scripts that would set one. Signing out clears the session.
Separation between businesses
Every record belongs to exactly one workspace, and that boundary is enforced by the database rather than by the interface. A request for another business’s records returns nothing, even if the application asks for them.
Customer quote links
A published quote is reachable at a link containing a long random token. Only a hash of that token is stored, so the link itself cannot be recovered from our database. Anyone holding the link can read the quote, which is what lets your customer see it without an account — so treat the link as private. The page asks search engines not to index it and asks browsers not to cache it. You can invalidate a link by reissuing the quote token.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself from your settings. It asks for your password and for a typed confirmation, and it is not reversible by you or by us.
If you are the only owner of your workspace, deleting your account deletes the workspace with it: every quote, including published ones, every customer record, every service, your reminders and your usage counts. Published quote links stop working immediately. If someone else also owns the workspace, your account and your membership are removed and the workspace stays with them.
Two things survive, and neither identifies you or your customers. We keep a log of billing events and a log of reminder jobs; both hold only event types, counts and timestamps, with no name, address, quote or workspace reference in them. Your subscription with Stripe is separate from your ServLark account — cancel it with the payment provider as well.
How long we keep things
Your account and workspace data stay until you delete the account. Deleting is the way to remove them, and it takes effect immediately.
Some operational records may remain afterwards where that is reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, accounting, handling a dispute, or complying with the law. Those are the billing and reminder-job logs described above, and they hold event types, counts and timestamps rather than anything about you or your customers.
We do not publish a fixed deletion period, because nothing in the software enforces one and a date that nothing enforces is not a commitment.
Security, and its limits
What we can tell you plainly: traffic is served over HTTPS; your password is handled by the authentication service and never stored by ServLark; workspace separation is enforced in the database rather than in the interface; and quote links are long random tokens of which only a hash is kept.
What we will not tell you is that any of this makes the service impossible to breach. No service can promise that, and we hold no security certification. If a breach affecting your information happens, we will notify you as required by the law that applies.
Children
ServLark is a tool for running a business and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, write to support@servlark.com and we will remove it.
Your data
You can read, change, and delete the records in your workspace at any time using the product, and you can delete your whole account from your settings. For anything you cannot do from the interface, write to support@servlark.com.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that affects what we collect or who processes it, the date at the top changes with it.
Contact
Questions about anything here go to support@servlark.com, or see our contact page. Email is the contact method for ServLark today; if we publish a postal address later, it will appear here.
